What remains of the Swan House is nothing more than a hole in the ground which was used as the foundation of the house. Be informed that the Swan House set used for Breaking Dawn was also the same as the one made for New Moon and Eclipse. The original Swan House used for Twilight, however, is still intact in St. Helens, Oregon. Actually, the construction of these houses were similar to the original Swan House so that production can move from the Portland area to Vancouver.

Now, it's not only the Swan House that was taken down for good. The cottage set used by Bella and Edward was also disassembled after scenes taken there were concluded. Visitors to the site during the filming attest to the fact that the Swan House set used for Breaking Dawn was minimal considering that only a couple of scenes required exterior frames of the Swan House.

Squamish, a location outside of Vancouver will be where the filming of Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will continue. Squamish has a lot of lovely outdoor scenery just right as backdrop for the shoot. Marquette University plans to start offering domestic partner benefits to its employees in 2012, a move that comes about a year after the university's decision to rescind a job offer to a lesbian candidate caused the campus to erupt in debate.

In a statement sent to the campus Thursday afternoon, Marquette President Robert A. Wild said he's been wrestling with an idea of offering the benefits that would provide services for gay and lesbian employees for years.

University officials note said the timing of the announcement was influenced by votes in recent weeks by the University Academic Senate and the Marquette University Student Government that have urged the university to offer benefits for domestic partners.

“If we are truly pastoral in our application of the Jesuit principle of cura personalis, I asked myself if I could reconcile that with denying health benefits to a couple who have legally registered their commitment to each other,” Wild said. In Latin, cura personalis means "care for the entire person."

Wild noted that the State of Wisconsin gives legal recognition both to marriage for heterosexual couples and to a registered domestic partnership for same-sex couples.

Officials said they're still working out details, but medical, dental and vision benefits currently offered to married couples and their dependents will be extended to registered domestic partners. The couples receiving the benefits must share a residence, must be of the same sex. The declaration of domestic partnership may be initiated by an application filed with the clerk of the county in which an individual resides.

The decision by Marquette comes nearly after a year after the school announced that it was rescinding a job offer to Jodi O'Brien, a lesbian scholar at Seattle University, involving concerns relating to Marquette's "Catholic mission and identity" and their incompatibility with some of O'Brien's scholarly writings.

The university said at the time that the decision to rescind the job offer did not have anything to do with O'Brien's sexual orientation.

The university has a Statement on Human Dignity and Diversity. It reads in part that Marquette "recognizes and cherishes the dignity of each individual regardless of age, culture, faith, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, language, disability or social class." The statement adds that the Jesuit-run school seeks to become a more diverse and inclusive academic community dedicated to the promotion of justice.

After Marquette and Wild announced the decision, dozens of faculty members at both Marquette and Seattle condemned Marquette's decision to rescind the offer to O'Brien to take over as dean of the school's College of Arts and Sciences.

In June of last year, the school announced that it had reached a "mutually acceptable resolution" with O'Brien. Marquette said it had apologized to O'Brien, and sources said the school took a “financial hit.”

School officials said at the time that the university would consider research projects, conferences, courses and service learning projects exploring the topics of Catholic identity and gender and sexuality issues.

It could not be immediately determined if the decision to offer domestic benefits was related to the settlement of the O'Brien matter.

Last March, before the incident involving O'Brien, Wild announced he would step down in June 2011 after about 15 years at the helm of Marquette. He said he had discussed his decision with trustees, including Rev. Scott Pilarz, Marquette’s incoming president.

All indication, however, would show that there will be no more Harry Potter novel or movie after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Because of this, my wife is now securing all the Harry Potter books she purchased including the DVDs that she has lent to her friends.

NCAA - George Mason Beats Villanova. Right, NCAA fans. Again, George Mason beats Villanova and here's why George Mason has another great story to tell the world of collegiate basketball.

The ever dependable Luke Hancock hit a 3-pointer with 21 seconds left, capping the Patriots' comeback and keeping the one-time NCAA tournament darlings playing with a 61-57 win over Villanova on Friday. What a terrific shot, right fans?

Villanova missed its last shot and Mike Morrison slammed home one final basket for the Patriots (27-6), who will play Ohio State or Texas-San Antonio on Sunday in the East region.

This was the latest and last collapse for the Wildcats (21-12), who end the season on a six-game losing streak. They were once ranked as high as No. 5 but failed to get out of the first weekend of the NCAA tournament for the second straight year.

Hancock scored 18 points, and Morrison had 10 points and 11 rebounds for George Mason, which won its opening tournament game for the first time since its Final Four run in 2006.

The eighth-seeded Patriots trailed by 10 in the first half only to inch their way back.

Isaiah Tate popped George Mason's first 3 of the second half with 1:57 left to make it 54-51, and the Wildcats crumbled from the free-throw line. Antonio Pena missed two and Mouphtaou Yarou clanked the front end of a one-and-one.

Morrison took advantage, dunking in a miss with 55 seconds left for George Mason's first lead since early in the game.

Corey Fisher drew a foul on a 3-point attempt and made all of them for a 57-56 lead.

Hancock, his left shoulder taped and bandaged, showed no concern about any injury. He took a couple hard dribbles to his right, as if he was going to drive the lane for the go-ahead basket, then stopped right in his tracks. He crossed over and stepped back, then calmly knocked down the 3-pointer from a foot beyond the arc on the right wing.

The crowd filled to the rafters with Ohio State fans - most of them surely recalling George Mason's sizzling run of a few years ago - roared in approval.

Fisher finished with 20 points and Corey Stokes had 14 for Villanova, but each went cold in the final 20 minutes after a great first half that rekindled memories of a 16-1 start to the season. The Wildcats ended up winning their final game on Feb. 19.

They went the final 3:28 without a field goal.

George Mason won its first NCAA tournament game since it knocked off Connecticut in the 2006 regional final, a run that coach Jim Larranaga said he never tires of talking about.

He's got a new story now.

George Mason can still become this year's George Mason - although as a single-digit seed for the first time in program history, a run through March as the tournament's favorite mid-major will be a tougher sell.

That's fine with the Patriots, who just want to keep this rolling.

Villanova began the game like the team that was ranked No. 5 in the country, not the one that took a nose-dive in the second half of the season. Fisher and Stokes worked their way open and swished 3s as easy as free throws.

Fisher scored 11 straight points and Stokes followed that run with three straight 3s. The two Coreys scored 22 of Villanova's first 23 points and helped them to a 10-point lead.

Yarou scored the first non-Corey field goal with 6:55 left in the first half.

Stokes missed a late 3, but Fisher bounced on a loose ball rebound and tossed up a floater to keep it a nine-point lead for Villanova. But unlike Michigan's rout over Tennessee, this was no 8-9 mismatch. On the brink of falling into trouble, the Patriots cranked the defensive pressure and hit free throws that help get them to 35-29 at halftime.

Now the Blue Devils will soon realize and I'm pretty sure be pleasantly surprised on how well he’ll have them zooming in a game.

Indeed, the news that Duke's Irving will play on Friday is good news since the No. 1 seed Duke’s will be pitted against the no. 16 seed Hampton on Friday's NCAA tournament opener in the West Regional. This opener will mark Irving’s return to the court. The popular and flashy freshman has been out since Dec. 4 with an injury relating to a bad big toe on his right foot which made him go limp even while walking. Concerned about his on-going condition, coach Mike Krzyzewski plans to play him limited minutes, just to make sure he won't aggravate the condition of his big toe.

“He hasn’t played in a long, long time, but he’s the type (of) player, you give him the ball, he’s going to get out there and he’ll help us if he gets on the court,” guard Nolan Smith said. “He’s that good a player.”

With the unfolding return of Irving, the present national champions will be reintroducing another elite talent to a superbly charged group that already includes the most outstanding player of last year’s Final Four, Kyle Singler, and Smith, the Atlantic Coast Conference’s player of the year.

“We want to play the way we’ve been playing and integrate him into what we’re doing,” Krzyzewski said.

Still, Duke clearly doesn’t want to expect too much too soon from Irving. At the time of his injury, Irving had Duke at 8-0 and was averaging a then-team-best 17.4 points while orchestrating the team’s uptempo attack. Irving admits his current conditioning isn’t where he wants it, but he says he’s able to do nearly everything he could before he was hurt. He pronounced himself 95 percent healthy, said “the other 5 percent will come when I actually play out there” and admitted to being even more nervous than he was for his Duke debut back in November.

“It’s even more nerve-racking, just the amount of pressure on Duke and just the aura of the NCAA tournament,” Irving said. “This is a special occasion for me, and I just want to enjoy it with my teammates.”

Especially since Krzyzewski and the Blue Devils never expected him back -- at least, not publicly. Not long after Irving was hurt, Coach K said he was prepared to play the rest of the season without him. Irving spent roughly two months in a protective hard cast with his right foot in a boot after that while Duke rolled up a 22-4 record in his absence and claimed a third consecutive ACC tournament title and a second consecutive No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Speculation on Irving’s possible return started to pick up last week at the ACC tournament when he worked out in public in uniform shorts and sneakers before a game, then said last Sunday that there was a chance he could return for the tournament.

Krzyzewski downplayed it at the time, then acknowledged the possibility two days later but said he wanted to see how Irving’s toe responded to practice. They have insisted Irving’s return wouldn’t threaten the chemistry they have developed over the past three months without him.

“I’m a pretty good basketball player, and I’m not a selfish one, at that,” Irving said.

His return has all but overshadowed a second-round matchup that figures to be one-sided. Duke enters as a 23-point favorite against Hampton (24-8), which won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament in Winston-Salem five days ago and is in the round of 64 for the first time since 2002.

“It’s a good chance to measure where you are as a program,” Hampton coach Edward Joyner Jr. said.

Then again, the Pirates have pulled off a stunner before. Almost exactly 10 years ago, they knocked off then-No. 2 seed Iowa State as a No. 15 to match the biggest upset according to seeding in the history of the NCAA tournament. At the time, Joyner was on the staff at Johnson C. Smith University, the Division II school in Charlotte where he was a player.

“Ten years later, I got the opportunity to possibly, you know, make history again,” Joyner said. “No disrespect to Iowa State, they ain’t Duke. We’re going to go out there and try.”

Just like House, Charlie is still a bachelor in his early 30s. It is rumored that a secret romance is on-going between Charlie and his team senior diagnostician, Dr. Rosemarie Chan, whom medical staffers secretly refers to as Dr. Cuddy. Wow! Can this be a real life House M.D. story?

Might be, but the huge difference here is the confirmation I got from Charlie himself that He and Dr. Chan will get married next month. Well, I really don't know about the love story of House and Dr. Cuddy since this will be my first time to watch house season 7 episode 16 for which Charlie informed me that the title is Out of the Chute.

How I Met Your Mother Hooked Episode is simply an episode worth seeing if you would want to enjoy being a woman. My goodness, this is not a man's world, is it not? Being strung about by women goes along long time, even during the early days of the cave dwellers.

A driver friend of mine living in Ohio e-mailed me to say that he always follow the TV series How I Met Your Mother and he told me to watch How I Met Your Mother Season 5 Episode 16 captioned Hooked. I did what he told me to do and I did have a good laugh watching the full episode online.

A number of Pinoy friends have also requested me if I can point to them an online site where they can watch TV series of How I Met Your Mother. They pointed out that since their working hours are in conflict with the airing schedule, they simply miss out watching this comedy TV series.

Mabuhay Pinoy has several comments received from pinoys watching Avatar online from different points around the world. A pinoy seaman I knew e-mailed to tell me that he was profoundly touched when he watched Avatar online. A nationalist by nature, he readily compared the living humanoids of the planet Pandora to us Pinoys whose country the Philippines has been colonized by foreigners for its natural resources. Another Pinay, this time from Sydney Australia, said that she watched Avatar online from an online site where you have to fill up first a simple survey for you to continue watching the movie Avatar. She further revealed that the simple survey was nothing more than a piec e of cake compared to the joys she felt watching the movie Avatar online and free at that. And here is a real surprise for me. A Pinay living in Iceland, yes, you got it right, I said Iceland, sent in an e-mail saying she was so inspired by the unbelievable graphics of Avatar that she is now focusing her sight on making a short film with a footnote saying "the graphics you see was inspired by Avatar".

Alright, Avatar did raised a lot of critic eyebrows worldwide when it overtook sales of Titanic, knowing for a fact that the writer director of both the Titanic and Avatar is one and the same person. My goodness, how did James Cameron got to think of these ideas? And why did I not think of it before he did? And because I was so dumbfounded by his creation, I google searched the name James Cameron. This is what I found out about James Cameron. He is a film director, producer, screenwriter, editor and inventor rolled into one. Wow! He is a native of Canada and a noted biographer described James Cameron as a scientist artist. Well I think I can be him. I was able to construct a rubberband powered flying model plane and I also was able to write a dozen of poems. Anyway, back to James.

James Cameron was the writer director of The Terminator (1984), Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), True Lies (1994), and his last film before Avatar was Titanic (1997) and finally Avatar (2009). Now, in terms of earnings, James Cameron is said to be one of the highest income earner director of all time. Imagine him grossing US$ 1.75 billion in the US alone and a whooping US$ 4.91 billion worldwide. My goodness, I am cross-eyed with all those billions pouring into the bank account of James Francis Cameron. At age 56, you see James was born August 16, 1954, he is already a billionaire several times over. Actually, most of his billions would come from Titanic and Avatar, now considered as the two highest grossing films ever produced.

Gossip Girl is the most watched TV series in the US among Pinays living there. I have learned this from a cousin who e-mailed me the other day. She is living in New York and according to her, a Filipino owned news letter made a survey of all its pinoys subscribers and the result according to her found Gossip Girl as the most watched TV series. Second to Gossip Girl is Vampire Diaries and third is Glee.

My cousin further said that most of her friends are likewise followers of Gossip Girl whom they watch every Mondays of the week. A particular friend of hers who goes by the name of Georgina collects every news items she can lay her hands on relating to Gossip Girl. Georgina, my cousin informed me, has three female cats whom she fondly named as Serena, Blair and Lily.

However, there are times she said that their work schedules are in conflict with the airtime schedules of Gossip Girl in which case they would tend to watch Gossip Girl online. She said that they are very thankful for the Internet because aside from Gossip Girl, they can also watch Glee online and even watch Vampire Diaries online anytime they are free.

My Classmate Is A V Fanatic

My Classmate is a V Fanatic. My classmate in High School whose name is Burloloy and who had his first name changed to Burly upon arriving in the States sent me an e-mail saying he is a fan of" V " or the Visitors. Since his schedule of work in the city morgue is during night time, he bought a portable TV so that he can watch the "V" while watching over the bodies of dead people. He further related that he also like to watch Vampire Diaries. Knowing that I am into blogging of US TV shows, he asked me if when will the next episode of Vampire Diaries continue.

I told him that as far as I know, episode 11 of Vampire Diaries will be aired on January 14, 2010, Thursday. I also asked him if how does he find his work in the morgue. He replied that he feels secure in his work since the morgue do not lay off workers. He even related that two of his elder brothers with office jobs are now laid off from their jobs and are now job hunting.

His last request was to e-mail him if I have any info I could share regarding up and coming TV vampire shows. Well, that's my friend and former high school classmate in La Paz Iloilo who goes by the name of Burloloy who is now in Memphis US of A and works in the city morgue caring and attending to frozent bodies of dead people.

My professor's wife is a Legend of the Seeker fan having read and reread the books that is the basis of this popular TV series . My e-mail exchanges with my professor likewise revealed that his wife is a real fanatic of Legend of the Seeker because aside from having the books and watching the weekly episodes of the Legend of the Seeker, she has also purchased DVDs that she watches during her free time.

Actually, it is not only his wife who follows Legends of the Seeker during Saturdays of each week. Their neighbor, an Australian couple who is in the states to oversee their business are also ardent followers of the Legend of the Seeker TV series. My professor learned from them that in Australia, Legend of the Seeker is one of the most viewed TV series there.

The TV Series Glee

My Pinoy professor enjoys "Glee" so much he nicknamed his granddaughter "Glee." The professor I am referring to is my teacher in Math of years past. He is now in New York with her two daughters who are both nurses working there.

When I gave up my noble profession as a tricycle driver and pursued a new career as a Blogger, My math teacher who likes to be called professor was the first person I contacted through e-mail using the e-mail address he sent me through regular mail 5 years ago. Thank goodness, he still uses the address.

To make the long story short, my professor was overjoyed when I contacted him and told him my change of profession from driving tricycles to being a blogger. And since he knew I am now blogging on US TV shows that are the favorite of Pinoys abroad, he e-mailed me just the other day telling me he always watch Glee every Wednesday on the dot. He added that his grand daughter is now nicknamed Glee after his favorite TV show.

Wow! can you beat that? That's my math teacher now in New York and now a dyed in the wool fan of Glee TV series. Mabuhay, Professor.

A Pinay saying hello from Florida who goes by the nickname of "Inday" e-mailed me with her greetings and to say that until now, she just could not find a pinoy store that sells her favorite bottled "tahong. " I really do not have any idea if there is a bottled "tahong," being sold in the states from our country.

She likewise would like to extend her warmest greetings to the Gonzales family of Kalibo Aklan who were their very hospitable host during the time she and her American husband attended the "ati-atihan" revelry last January of this year in Kalibo and likewise facilitated their one week vacation in Boracay.

And with regards to my first post here about the TV shows watched by my friends in the US, she commented that she and her husband watches Vampire Diaries every Thursday and
Legend of the Seeker every Saturday. Their only daughter, Nativiska, is a fanatic for Gossip Girl which she watches without fail, every Monday.

Mabuhay Efren Penaflorida of Cavite Philippines for bagging the coveted "CNN Hero of the Year" in 2009. Wow! I was dumbfounded when I heard the news. My skin hair stood on ends and my eyes grew misty. I cannot help myself feeling so good hearing the news that Efren, who persevered through the years starting from his very early years in teaching other children who cannot attend school in learning how to read and write, has finally been recognized. And a world class recognition at that.

Efren Penaflorida was a born teacher. He does not only love to teach but he recognizes the importance of giving free education to those who do not have the opportunity specifically to children in the slum areas. His selfless advocacy to educate out-of-school-youth through "push-cart classes " was the vehicle for his winning the CNN award.

My Pinoy US Friends Favorite TV Series

My Pinoy US friends' favorite TV series are very much varied. A friend of mine from the Visayas who is now working as a dishwasher in one of the chinese restaurants in Houston, told me through e-mail that he still goes for his hero since our childhood days in Ungka Jaro, Superman. He told me to watch Smallville which is also replayed in the Philippines.

A distant relative of mine who was lucky to work as a baby sitter for an American couple in a remote town in Ohio told me also through e-mail that she and the couple she works for would usually sit together in front of the TV every Thursday night to watch Vampire Diaries which is the favorite TV series of the couple. Monday nights would find her and the teenage daughter of the couple sitting in front of the TV to watch Gossip Girl, which happens to be the daughter's favorite.

Another friend of mine who was just laid off from his work in a gas station e-mailed me his predicament. However, he said that anytime business will perk up, he will again be recalled to his work. Meanwhile, he spends his time watching TV. He told me that he watch Flashforward every Thursday which is his favorite TV series. Well friends, these are the favorite TV series of my Pinoy US friends.

My goodness, it was because of the kind of taxes Pacquiao will have to pay Uncle Sam if Pacquiao trained in the US for his coming fight with Cotto, that made Pacquiao decide to do his training in his own beloved country, the Philippines. Imagine the scenario. If Pacquiao trained in the US for his coming fight with Cotto, Pacquiao will be subjected a US tax not only his earnings from his fight in the US but all his earnings around the world, from pay per view cable and other outlets. Wow!

Well, regarding this matter, surely Pacquiao has to comply with it since that is the law. But considering the enormous amount involved, why would Pacquiao spend all his training days in the US when he could do it here in the Philippines? His training in Baguio, the summer capital of the Philippines, would do well for Pacquiao considering the high altitude of the place that is perfect for exercising his stamina to its fullest.

In the bedroom, Sofie would again continue her rantings, recalling quotes from the magazine article, saying "'Suspicious noises?' Was there f***. Charlie was sleeping next to us the whole time... Saying I'm pregnant. Do I look pregnant? There would be more chance of it being Rodrigo's. I love him more than Kris. I don't care if people think I'm being bitchy."

The sad thing about Sophie's denial, however, was the fact that she confessed to having sex with Kris in a drunken conversation with evicted housemate Noiren Kelly several weeks ago.
