Robert Redford Second Sundance Festival.The Guardian reports that Legend Robert Redford is looking to expanding the Sundance Film Festival in London.

“It is our mutual goal to bring to the UK the very best in current American independent cinema, to introduce the artists responsible for it, and in essence help build a picture of our country that is broadly reflective of the diversity of voices not always seen in our cultural exports,” Redford said.

“Sundance London” will be held on April 26-29 next year at The O2, the huge music venue at the former Millennium Dome, comprising film screenings, live music, discussion panels and other cultural events, it was announced Tuesday.

The Sundance Kid has never been one to shy away from politics. Academy Award winner, actor, director, and founder of the Sundance Film Festival Robert Redford has consistently been one of Hollywood's most outwardly political figures.

Robert Redford, is an actor, film director, producer, businessman, model, environmentalist, philanthropist, and founder of the Sundance Film Festival. He has received two Oscars: one in 1981 for directing Ordinary People, and one for Lifetime Achievement in 2002.

His popular films include Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), Jeremiah Johnson (1972), The Candidate (1972), The Sting (1973), The Way We Were (1973), Three Days of the Condor (1975), All the President's Men (1976), The Natural (1984), Out of Africa (1985), and Sneakers (1992).

Robert Redford as a filmmaker has done notable films such as Ordinary People (1980), A River Runs Through It (1992), Quiz Show (1994), The Horse Whisperer (1998), and The Legend of Bagger Vance.
