Battle: Los Angeles was released in March 2011. The film is set in modern day Los Angeles and follows a platoon of U.S. Marines, an airman and a group of Army Infantry as hey gallantly fought the superior alien invaders.
Outfought by the superior forces of the alien invaders, the group valiantly fought on despite heavy casualties. The alien invaders,however, underestimated the human capacity for analysis and quick thinking even in desperate situation resulting in the analysis of the group about the alien's weaknesses during their encounter.
They learn that the weak point of an alien soldier is in the torso and that the alien attack aircraft are drones remotely controlled by an alien command center and the group correctly guessed that destroying the alien command post will eventually cut-off the control of the alien drones thus crippling the alien invading forces.
