Captain America: The First Avenger is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Captain America. Chris Evans is cast as Captain America. The film will form part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and to be released in 3D.
Synopsis of Captain America: The First Avenger In 1942, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is denied approval to enter the U.S. Army for the reason that he is physically unfit to become a soldier. Feeling sorry for his situation, he decides to volunteer to become the first human specimen for a scientific top secret experiment of the government code named Project: Rebirth.
During the experiment, the machine malfunctioned, nearly torching the body of Steve Rogers. But when it was over, Steve Rogers came out of the machine physically transformed into a super soldier and was named Captain America.
Teaming up with an assigned assistant Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), the two would wage war and fight Red Skull (Hugo Weaving), Hitler's own treacherous head of advanced weaponry. Red Skull has his own grand design for world domination that would involve Tesseract, a magical object that he controls.
