Now going back to episode 18, we have learned that Prentiss nearly died after she was stabbed by Doyle. She survived, however, after the team took her to a hospital. JJ announced she didn’t make it and made it appear she died of stab wounds inflicted by Doyle.
After recovering, she changed her appearance and went to Paris to lie low, where she was given by JJ fake passport and bank deposit. Except for JJ and Hoctner, everyone in the team believes Prentiss is dead.
Actually, Criminal Minds is centered around the FBI’s elite Behavioral Analysis Unit, whose job it was to psychologically profile the country’s most dangerous criminals.Heading the unit was Jason Gideon ( Mandy Patinkin) who despite an abundance of personal problems was a genius at getting “inside” the heads of serial killers and other habitual predators, enabling him to anticipate the criminals’ next moves and to hopefully prevent their future crimes.
